Cissy is one of those rare individuals who combines talent, experience, knowledge and personality all in one package. We engaged Cissy to come in as a temporary Director for our busy Cardiology / CV Surgery practice. We had significant access issues, revenue cycle issues and physician productivity issues. Cissy was with us a little short of a year, some of her accomplishments during that time include:
Implementing an FTE neutral call center that dropped our call abandonment rate from sky high to below industry standards.
Dramatically improved our denied claim rate through redesigning processes, developing competencies for the front office staff and putting updated policy and procedures in place.
Developed and implemented a templated reporting structure for physician dictation.
Developed and implemented a universal physician visit template, cleaning up a multitude of appointment types and implementing a standard set of appointments and appointment lengths.
Improved upfront collection of co-pay and deductibles through setting up a standard process and a tool to monitor receptionist collection rates.
Improved pre-visit chart prep process and streamlined rooming processes to accommodate the shorter appointment times and keep physicians on time.
Built standard electronic procedure orders for all procedure types.
Developed a process manual detailing all major functions for nursing standardizing workflows.
Developed a process manual for office associates standardizing all major workflows improving error rate and decreasing denials due to errors.
Making this amount of change in a short time can cause a lot of turmoil within the department. Because of her collaborative approach and positive up beat personality, Cissy was able to improve employee engagement and morale while making these changes.
